Aquacoat ® ECD for some slow-release release of ethyl cellulose and Aquacoat ® CPD cellulose acetate phthalate some used for casing protection

Aquacoat®ECDSome of ethyl cellulose polymers. In the application of slow release, Aquacoat®ECD provide stable, repeatable, the pH dependence of release curve.Through the main releasing mechanism is water insoluble coat membrane diffusion.

When using need to add plasticizer, adding of type and level will depend on the membrane permeability, which is the demand of drug release curve. The amount of plasticizer is recommended for 20-25% of ethyl cellulose solid content.

Aquacoat®CPDIs a cellulose acetate phthalate water medium.Provide casing protection for tablets and capsules. You need to add plasticizer, content is about 24%.

  • In the United States and Europe can be used as pharmaceutical excipients
